MotorStar Xplorer 250R

The MotorStar Xplorer 250R has been designed in a very unique way keeping in mind all the common designs of adventure and touring motorcycles. The 250R manufacturers included design elements like the dual front fenders and a tall windscreen that offer it the design and appeal of a standard adventure touring motorcycle. The headlight of MotorStar Xplorer 250R has been surrounded by a projector lighting setup that has lights stacked one upon another. 

Moreover, this whole setup has been surrounded by LED DRLs and flanked by thin yet high-mounted LED indicators. Apart from this, the comfortability and riding pleasure has been ensured by the large curvy and deep seats. The underside of this bike has been protected by the hard plastic shielding and footpegs that allow the rider to flexibly maneuver around for off-roading.

Great rideability and handling has been ensured by the adjustable preload rear monoshock and inverted front forks. The MotorStar Xplorer 250R stands with pride in the 18-inch front and a 17-inch rear wheel that makes handling more convenient. Moreover, it has also been offered with front and rear petal disc brakes that had been complemented with a rear setup and front dual-piston caliper. 

The bike has been offered with slightly heavyweight but the seat height of 795mm makes it easy to manage even during off-roading. Furthermore, the dimensions of this bike make it great for urban commuting purposes.

Powering the Xplorer 250R is a 250cc single-cylinder, four-stroke, OHC gasoline engine that churns out a power output of 22 hp along with a peak torque of 23 Nm. This powertrain has been mated to a six-speed manual gearbox to evenly distribute the power to the wheels. Moreover, this bike has been offered a petrol tank that has a fuel capacity of up to 16 litre along with a mileage of 30-35 kmpl on average. 

Overall, the engine delivers a punchy performance and can reach a top speed of 135 kmph. Performance-wise it's pretty decent and is a good competitor of the bigger brands like the BMW.

In terms of braking and safety, the MotorStar Xplorer comes equipped with petal disc brakes both on the front and rear. These front and rear brakes have been offered a dual-piston caliper set up for the front and a single-piston setup for the rear. However, the above setup provides enough braking power to the bike for all kinds of road conditions. 

Some of the other safety and security features include a pass switch, sport riding modes, leg guards, side reflectors, and engine check warnings. Overall, this setup is enough to convince any rider to purchase this motorcycle.

The MotorStar Xplorer 250R turns out to be a well-equipped touring motorcycle in the adventure-touring segment. But then again, this bike suffers a drawback due to its Chinese image and low price. Usage of high-quality material could have helped in improving the reliability of the vehicle. 

However, MotorStar Xplorer 250R seems to be slowly gaining more traction with the base of Philippine customers. Maybe someday in the future, they might establish their leadership in the market and also improve the image of Chinese manufactured motorcycles.
