New and Used Mazda 3 for Sale Philippines | Mazda 3 Price List 2018

Mazda 3 for sale Philippines | Mazda 3 price | Red Mazda 3

The ‘3’ model line is Mazda’s family of compact cars and is available in either a hatchback or sedan variant. Regardless of which type a driver chooses to buy for himself, both iterations establish the Mazda 3 as one of the most distinctive cars in its class. While it’s not an attention-grabber on the road, it does have its fair share of perks in the form of efficient engines, design flair, driving precision, safety and value—qualities that should earn it a place on a car buyer’s small-car list. Mazda released the ‘3’ in 2004 as its entry-level hatchback/sedan. Despite this classification, the first-gen Mazda 3 was loaded with desirable features that complemented a uniquely sporty design.

The Mazda 3 was meant to replace the Protégé after sales declined for the latter. Early Mazda 3s were powered by a 2.3-liter Inline four-cylinder engine. Nominal changes were introduced in the 2005 model, with satellite radio and new wheel covers marking the only noteworthy updates. A new variable valve timing feature was introduced to the engine in 2006, and intermittent windshield wipers as well as ABS were included as standard features. More trim options were introduced during this model year as well.

Over its three generations, the Mazda 3 has established a firm reputation as a car with above-average driving dynamics. Last redesigned for the 2014 model year, the Mazda 3 has managed to refine its model lineup with a few minor updates for 2016 and 2018.

The New Mazda 3 2018 in the Philippines Has Been Finally Revealed

Mazda 3 2018 Review in the Philippines

How is the 2018 Mazda 3 different from 2017 model?

For the 2018 model year, Mazda did away with the iSV trim level and made the Sport (hatchback) the new base model. The biggest update to this model is the inclusion of a rearview camera, which wasn’t available on the iSport trim in 2015. Standard features in the trim also include:

  • 16-inch wheels
  • Power windows and locks
  • Dual power-folding mirrors
  • Mazda Connect system

What is new about the Mazda 3 2018 design?

Not much has changed in the Mazda 3’s design when compared with the previous year model, but that’s to be expected considering that the vehicle just got a major styling overhaul late 2014. However, the high end SPEED trim does add more than a few premium features such as:

  • Fog lights
  • Moon roof
  • Auto headlights
  • Mazda Advanced Keyless Entry system

What are Mazda 3 2018 specs and features?

The 2018 Mazda 3 comes standard with a 2.0-liter SkyActiv gasoline engine, but is also available in 2.5-liter gasoline engine configuration. For those interested in more features, optional equipment packages can add the following accoutrements to the Mazda 3 you purchase:

  • Auto-dimming interior mirror
  • Bose Centerpoint nine-speaker audio system
  • Automatic dual-zone climate control
  • Shark’s fin antenna

What are Mazda 3 2018 prices in the Philippines?

    Mazda 3 1.5 V A/T 1058000

Mazda 3 Specs and Performance

The Mazda 3 2015 hosts two types of engines—a 2.0L SkyActive-G DOHC 16-valve for the low end ‘V’ models and a 2.5L SkyActive-G with i-Stop and i-Eloop technologies for the top-end trims. As part of Mazda’s new SkyActiv technology, both engines boast of a better feel than other units in this price-conscious vehicle segment. The 2.0L engine is rated at 155 hp, while the 2.5L is at 184 hp. The Mazda 3 suspension system features MacPherson struts in the front and a multi-link beam system in the back.

Mazda 3 Features

Mazda 3 Convenience and Entertainment Features

The new Mazda 3 has become an even better vehicle than its predecessor, adding some popular features without any significant increase to the price tag. That said, there are still plenty of reasons to go with the top end trims, thanks to a few technology features rarely found at this segment and price range. Among the many highlights of the model is the Mazda Connect system that uses a large, high-contrast and richly colored touchscreen display that sits on top of the dash. Luxury items like perforated leather upholstery and adaptive front lighting are reserved for the top end models. Below are other creature comforts to be found in the vehicle:

  • Leather-wrapped steering wheel
  • Black leather upholstery
  • Leather front seats
  • Bluetooth hands-free system
  • Automatic single-zone climate control
  • Push start/stop button

Mazda 3 Safety Features

Though a bit light on safety features, Mazda made sure to implement them where it counts the most. As such, the new Mazda 3 scored higher in many federal and national crash tests than some of its more steeply priced competitors. Standard safety features for the Mazda subcompact include:

  • Curtain airbags
  • Anti-lock Braking System
  • Dynamic Stability Control
  • Rear Parking Sensors
  • Immobilizer
  • Smart Keyless Entry

Mazda 3 Design

Mazda 3 Interior

Though many radical changes pepper the exterior, modifications in the interior are pretty tame by comparison, but they are still a few levels higher than the previous model nonetheless. For starters, there’s the tech-savvy look that instantly makes it a standout in the compact category. Meanwhile, the cockpit is now more driver-focused, starting with the instrument cluster that houses a large central analog gauge with a wing-shaped digital display on either side. Controls and pedals are arranged symmetrically around the driver's centerline. Some of the nifty interior features that you’ll find in the vehicle include:

  • Analog display tachometer
  • 9 Bose speakers
  • Leather-wrapped shift knob
  • Overhead console with sunglass holder
  • Power windows and locks
  • Tilt and telescopic steering wheel

Mazda 3 Exterior

Mazda’s compact car sports a sophisticated look at the front, with the grille’s top corners seamlessly leading into thin, swept-back headlamps. Mazda’s designers elongated the hood and moved the windshield pillars almost 4 inches rearward, imparting the vehicle with a coupe/sports car-like appearance. Interestingly, there’s more than an aesthetic reason behind the redesign, as it was meant to help the vehicle accommodate the specially tuned exhaust system of the Mazda 3 SkyActiv engine. The cabin has also been pushed further to the rear, making the profile drastically different from the vehicle’s previous iteration. That said, here are some other exterior features to look out for:

  • Bi-xenon running lamp
  • Time adjustable front windshield wipers
  • Power side mirrors
  • Dual type exhaust tail pipe
  • Shark’s fin antenna
  • Electric glass sunroof

Mazda 3 Color Options

Six standard color options are available for the latest Mazda 3 version, which can be found below. The Soul Red color option specifically, comes at an additional P16,800 cost for Mazda 3 car buyers.

  • Soul Red
  • Aluminum Metallic
  • White Pearl
  • Jet Black
  • Blue Reflex
  • Titanium Flash
