Are You Ready for the New Wrangler Mod?
Mopar’s highly anticipated Jeep mod has just been revealed.
“The new limited-edition Jeep Wrangler JPP 20 is a ‘check-all-the boxes’ off-road vehicle for enthusiasts,” said Mark Bosanac, Head of Mopar Service, Parts and Customer Care for FCA–North America. “We loaded the Jeep brand’s iconic rock crawler with factory-backed and quality-tested, authentic Jeep Performance Parts specifically designed and engineered to tackle the toughest conditions.”
Just looking at the exterior of the Wrangler JPP (Jeep Performance Parts) 20, it’s pretty obvious that this one is going to be insane.
The standard Jeep doors have been swapped to high strength, full aluminum JPP steel tube doors. The open air feeling that the windowless cabin provides can be deflected by a mesh sun bonnet that provides shade for the passengers. The standard JPP rock rails are made with heavy gauge steel and coated with Durabull®. This ensures that the Wrangler is protected and durable.
The JPP front bumper is also equipped with D-rings for extra towing capability. The JPP Rubicon Winch also includes 100 feet of WARN® Spydura synthetic rope, and it’s completely waterproof, too.
Other standard exterior features include the American Flag hood graphic, blacked out fender vents and fuel door, a laser etched, forged aluminum JPP badge in the driver side fender and on the rear swing gate assembly, and a JPP graphic decal on the passenger side quarter panel.
The Jeep Wrangler JPP 20 is available in two color options only: Ocean Blue or White.
Inside the JPP 20, the seats are fitted with Katzkin Tuscany leather seats, complete with a JPP logo embroidered on each front seatback. To ensure durability, there are also standard Mopar all weather floor mats that are injection molded and designed with deep drain channels, rigid sidewalls, and advanced reservoir systems. The front mats are also fitted with a patented drain plug that covers floor drain holes and allows the accumulated liquids to drain without the need to take the mat off. On the back row, the Mopar Cargo Tray Kit secures the cargo seat area and seat backs, protecting it from all weather conditions.
The JPP 20 comes standard with a three spoke steering wheel with audio controls, hooked up to a 7 inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety features include rear park assist and blind spot monitoring.
There are three engine options available for the Jeep Wrangler JPP20, namely:
- 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine (270 hp and 400 Nm of torque) with Engine Start Stop (ESS) or mild-hybrid eTorque-assist technology
- 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 engine (260 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque) with Engine Start Stop (ESS)
- 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine (285 horsepower and 352 Nm of torque) with Engine Start Stop (ESS) or mild-hybrid eTorque assist technology
Each engine option comes mated with a TorqueFlite eight speed automatic transmission.
There is no news yet as to how many Wrangler JPP 20s will be released and how much it’s going to cost, but we can expect more info as the launch date nears.
