CAR COMPARISON: 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe vs. 2018 KIA Sorento

Aside from both hailing from South Korea, the Santa Fe and Sorento are produced by two corporate cousins, so the two share a lot of commonalities. For starters, both are being marketed as two-row midsize SUVs with an extra third row. Each also use a 2.2-liter CRDi diesel engine with VGT. That said, each are at a different point in their lifespans. The Kia Sorento, now on its third generation, went through a major redesign last year. Meanwhile Hyundai has just launched its all-new fourth-generation Santa Fe. Carmudi takes a look at the current versions of these midsize SUVs to help car buyers see what sets them apart.
