Drive up to 22 Porsche Models for a Month with Porsche Passport

Porsche has launched a subscription-based monthly service called Porsche Passport that, for a certain amount, will give you access to at least eight of its model variants for a monthly fee. Think of its as something like Netflix, but with Porsche vehicles instead of movies and TV shows. The program gives its members on-demand access for up to 22 different Porsche models, with no limit to the number of times you can exchange the models for, and with no limit to the mileage you can put on the vehicle. The only catch to the Porsche Passport program for now though is that it's only available in North America, specifically in the Atlanta metropolitan area of Georgia in the United States where Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) is based at. "Our Strategy 2025 vision is to be the most aspirational brand in a new era of mobility and consumer expectations. Catering to customers' desire to experience our sports cars in new ways is a part of our core strategy," said PCNA President and CEO Klaus Zellmer. "With Porsche Passport, we now offer our customers a simple and flexible driving solution at their fingertips."
The Porsche Passport has a two-tier plan:
  • 'Launch' gives its members on-demand access to eight model variants of the 718 Boxster, Cayman S, Macan S, and Cayenne for a monthly fee of $2,000 (almost P103,000);
  • 'Accelerate' gives its members on demands access to 22 model variants including the Porsche 911 Carrera S, the Panamera 4S sports sedan, the Macan GTS, and the Cayenne S E-Hybrid SUVs in addition to the vehicles offered in the 'Launch' package for only $3,000 (over P150,000).
Included in the monthly fee are the vehicle tax and registration, and the insurance, maintenance, and detailing charges.

The Porsche Passport program requires a potential member to download the Porsche Passport app for either Apple or Android devices and pay a one-time activation fee of $500. As expected, membership approval is subject to a background and credit check, and once approved, the vehicle requested by the member that fits within his or her plan will be delivered to the member's requested location within metropolitan Atlanta starting in November 2017. Members can also schedule the use of the Porsche unit for the same day or for future vehicle exchanges through the same Porsche Passport app.

The Porsche Passport app therefore gives its members the flexibility to drive around in a Macan around the metro one day and then exchange it for a Cayenne Hybrid for a trip to the countryside with the family the next day.

Will we ever see the Porsche Passport program in the Philippines one day? It's possible since expanding it to different markets "will be determined after the pilot program."
