Ferrari PH Marks 5th Anniversary with Ferrari 488 Spider

Autostrada Motore recently marked a milestone as it celebrated its 5th year as the official dealer of Ferrari in the Philippines.

Helping to mark this important milestone in Autostrada Motore's history is one of Ferrari's latest models, the Ferrari 488 Spider, with the newly-renovated showroom serving as the car's backdrop. "The 488 Spider is for the discerning client that enjoys open-air motoring pleasure in a high-performance sports car," said Soong. "It is built to make the fun and thrill of driving most accessible behind the wheels of a car that simply delivers top-notch performance." The Ferrari 488 Spider is Ferrari's most powerful mid-rear-engined V8 car to feature the patented retractable hard top along with the highest level of technological innovation and cutting-edge design. With a power output of 661 hp and 760 Nm of torque, the retractable hardtop supercar can sprint from a standing start to 100 kph in three seconds flat with 200 kph being dispatched in 8.7 seconds. Ferrari was the first manufacturer to introduce the retractable hard top on a car of this particular architecture, weighing 25 kg less than its predecessor and capable of being deployed or stowed completely behind the seats and flush on the engine for "a very compact solution." The Italian carmaker has also given the 488 Spider its own soundtrack through the use of science like crafting exhaust headers with longer, equal-length piping and a flat-plane crankshaft combined with "an in-depth study of harmonics and tonality at different engine speeds." Open-top driving, direct and unobscured engine sound, in-car comfort, coupled with the new generation dual-clutch transmission, the 488 Spider delivers the most powerful performance on the sports spider market in terms of acceleration and pickup.
