Isuzu PH stages 2015 Truck Fest
Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC), the country's leader in the commercial vehicle segment, recently launched its 2015 Isuzu Truck Fest at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City which showcases IPC’s trucks displaying its core values of dependability, durability and reliability.
The Japanese carmaker is confident that their N-Series model holds the number one position in the light-duty truck category.
IPC President Hajime Koso, said, “In selling our trucks we instill at least three points in mind: contribute to the over-all logistics, minimize truck down time, and lastly listen to customer’s need. We provide our customers with world-class quality trucks and we wouldn't want to leave them at that—the key is to continue to improve together with the customers. We listen to them so we can adjust to what they need and develop better products.”
“The truck and bus segment plays a vital role in building the nation. It is not surprising that in the past two years our truck sales have seen a significant growth and this is parallel to the over-all growth of the economy.” added Koso.
How Isuzu builds its trust in customers
Before Isuzu PH started manufacturing LCVs, trucks were their sole business and remain to be their profit earner. This somehow started their reputation as a responsible partner. With Isuzu focusing on building a relationship with its customers, it gained the people’s trust in their products.
Koso shared “Trust in a brand goes a long way. Isuzu understands that when a customer buys a product it is the start of a relationship, something that we have to value and keep for a long time. After a while, our customers will tell us what else they need, this then becomes our areas for improvement.”
During the event, Isuzu displayed 26 truck models starting from the NHR55 aluminum van, flexi-truck and i-VAN; NKR71 aluminum van, composite van, dropside, LED van, stake truck with tail lift and palletized body; NPR71 aluminum van with side door, dropside and aerial platform, NPR85 cab & chassis; NPS75 cab & chassis; NQR71 articulated crane, aluminium van with side door and drop side; FRR90 dropside; FSR and FVR fire trucks; FVM wing van; CYZ51 mixer, CYZ51T cab & chassis; EXR51K and EXR51F tractor heads.
Present to show their support were loyal IPC fleet customers and its trusted body builders like Almazora, Centro, Pinnacle, Multilift, Firewolf and Anos who have been working hand-in-hand with IPC to create suitable body kits for trucks.
Growing in Trucks business
Last April, the company had already sold a total of 1,270 units of trucks and buses, which translated to a 42-percent increase from the same period the previous year. This indicates that IPC is on track to surpass the company’s total truck sales in 2014. This year, IPC is also targeting to sell at least 4,000 units of trucks to maintain its position in the industry.
In the Philippines, the common problem is that a huge chunk of the trucks that run everyday are second-hand units—mostly repaired and converted. This is the reason why Isuzu PH is on a long term campaign to promote brand-new trucks not just for the benefit of the customer but to promote road safety as well.
Koso explained, “Purchasing brand-new trucks gives more long term advantages to customers. For one, the maintenance cost is a lot cheaper plus they are also generally safer to use compared to second-hand trucks.”
IPC also announced a special month-long promo offering free items to be included in new fleet and retail purchases made between May 28 and July 31, 2015. The freebies include a P10,000 Periodic Maintenance Service coupon with free filters, 3- year LTO registration and 16GB Apple iPAD mini.
