It seems that Nissan wants to make the Nissan Navara useful in society. Before, we heard about the Navara Dark Sky Concept, developed in the UK in collaboration with the European Space Agency. Now, Nissan has revealed a new concept for its pickup truck--say hello to the Navara Sentinel concept. The Navara (or Frontier in other markets) Sentinel concept made its debut at the 2018 Sao Paulo Motor Show. It is designed by the Nissan Brazil studio and this Navara looks like its ready to give a helping hand when the situation calls for it. Basically, the Navara Sentinel concept is designed as a rescue truck that's ready to go on a mission in the most extreme and remote areas.Nissan says the Sentinel concept is integrated with two battery packs from the all-electric Nissan Leaf. The cargo bed of this Navara has been adjusted to accommodate the battery packs. The bed also features compartment drawers to store gloves, flashlights, helmets, ropes, axes, toolboxes and other equipment. The Japanese automaker added that the top part of the cargo bed has a deployable platform from which a drone can take off and land. In order to have the ability to drive through almost any terrain, the Navara Sentinel is equipped with a snorkel, which allows the truck to do deep-water crossings. Lastly, the Navara Sentinel comes with a Thunder-Blue exterior paint, a nod to the Brazilian hyacinth macaw, a parrot native to central and eastern South America.
