Nissan says the Sentinel concept is integrated with two battery packs from the all-electric Nissan Leaf. The cargo bed of this Navara has been adjusted to accommodate the battery packs. The bed also features compartment drawers to store gloves, flashlights, helmets, ropes, axes, toolboxes and other equipment.
The Japanese automaker added that the top part of the cargo bed has a deployable platform from which a drone can take off and land. In order to have the ability to drive through almost any terrain, the Navara Sentinel is equipped with a snorkel, which allows the truck to do deep-water crossings. Lastly, the Navara Sentinel comes with a Thunder-Blue exterior paint, a nod to the Brazilian hyacinth macaw, a parrot native to central and eastern South America.
