Rerouting for Roxas Boulevard’s Coastal Clean Up announced
Vehicular traffic road closure is set to be implemented this coming Saturday (September 19) to pave way for the 35th International Coastal Clean-Up Day.
In its advisory Thursday, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) stated that the stretch of both lanes of P. Burgos to Quirino Avenue will be closed to traffic from 6AM to 9AM. Motorists are advised to take the following alternative routes to get to their destination while the road is closed during the said period.
Northbound:
- Osmena Highway, right turn Quirino, straight to Lacson Ave., left turn Tayuman, Capulong St. to destination.
- Along Roxas Blvd, right turn EDSA, Osmena Highway, left turn Quirino Ext, U.N. Avenue, right turn Romualdez, left turn Ayala Blvd, Finance Road, P. Burgos, right turn Bonifacio Drive, to destination.
Southbound:
- Bonifacio Drive, left turn P. Burgos, Finance Road, Ayala Blvd, right turn Marcelino St, right turn Quirino Ave then left turn Roxas Blvd to destination.
The annual International Coastal Clean Up Day is slated every third Saturday of September, is pursuant to Proclamation No. 470 , which is targeted to collect and document trash littering in every country’s coastlines.
