Suzuki PH Posts Steady Growth in Q1 2019
The local arm for Japanese automotive brand Suzuki has shown consistent growth for the first quarter of 2019.
This after it secured the sixth spot in terms of sales in the first quarter report of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI).
For the first three months of the year, Suzuki Philippines retailed 4,812 units.
Of the said figures, the Suzuki Ertiga remains their key driver with a 33 percent share of total sales. Following the Ertigas is the Suzuki Celerio with 12.3 percent while the Suzuki Dzire contributed 11.6 percent.
The first quarter sales performance comes on the heels of a successful 2018, which marked strong sales, expansion in key cities across the country and back-to-back recognitions from several renowned award-giving bodies.
Suzuki Philippines (SPH) Director and General Manager for Automobile Division, Keiichi Suzuki, expressed confidence that it will continue to gain more as the year progresses.
“We started 2019 consistent and stable, and so far, we have maintained our momentum. Our performance at the start of the year is setting the pace for the rest of 2019. We are confident of achieving substantial sales growth and reaching more customers through aggressive marketing efforts and nationwide promotional campaigns,” he said.
