It might be easy to dismiss the updated
Nissan Navara as being the same ol' one that was launched in 2015. Even some automotive sites think the update is limited to some chrome bits and a new grille.
The truth is, the updated Navara has so much more to offer than an aesthetic facelift. It's actually the third model to come with the Japanese carmaker's
Intelligent Mobility feature after the Nissan Patrol Royale and the Nissan X-Trail, and one of the feature's main party trick is its
360-degree Around View Monitor which gives occupants an eagle's eye view of the vehicle’s surroundings. This is achieved by placing cameras not only at the rear in the tailgate, but also in front in the grille and at the sides under the side mirror housing.
Of course, the updated Navara is now compliant with Euro 4 emission standards as required by law. Previously, the Navara adhered to Euro 2 standards.
The prices of the
Nissan Navara start at
P961,000 for the entry-level 4x2 with a six-speed manual transmission to the range-topping 4x4 VL Sport Edition with a seven-speed slushbox at
P1.686 million. Take note though that these are for the current, pre-facelift Navara as we've confirmed with Nissan Philippines that it has yet to release the prices of the refreshed ones with the Intelligent Mobility features.
