About BAIC Philippines

In the Philippines, all of the distribution and sales of BAIC passenger cars, SUVs, and commercial vehicles, as well as marketing and dealer operations, are managed by Bayan Automotive Industries Corporation (Bayan Auto), which is a subsidiary of Universal Motors Corporation.
The current lineup of BAIC vehicles in the Philippines comprises of M50S, M60, and M20 (MPVs), X424 (SUV), Freedom and Bayanihan H5 (Pickup Trucks), MZ45, MZ40 and Bayanihan H5 (Minivans), BJ20 (Crossover), and Bayanihan H5 (Van). As for the pricing, the Baic X424 is the most expensive model with a price tag of Php 1.49 million, while the Baic MZ40 gets the title of the most affordable BAIC vehicle in the Philippines at Php 488,000.
As per the stats published by CAMPI, TMA, and AVID, BAIC witnessed sales of 344 vehicles in the year 2019, which was an increase of 28.16% compared to the sales in 2018, where the Chinese automaker could only trade 310 units.
