Land Rover for sale in the Philippines
Land Rover is a British car brand that specializes in luxury Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) with four-wheel drivetrains (4WD). Jaguar Land Rover Automotive PLC which produces these vehicles was purchased by Indian automaker Tata Motors from American auto company Ford in 2008.
Land Rover Philippines is the distributor of Land Rover products in the country. The prices of their products, however, depend on the model’s customization and availability. In the Philippines, a fourth generation Range Rover from an authorized dealer can figure between P9 million and P13 million, depending on the trim level. The gray market, however, can slash at least P1 million off its price.
Land Rover SUVs have some of the tallest rides in the country making them perfect for any off-roading excursions. The Land Rover Range Rover, for example, has a ground clearance of 302 mm and a wading depth of 900 mm. These features allow this car to cross flooded areas and even rivers.
Land Rover history
The company is the second oldest 4WD-specialty manufacturer after to Jeep. Land Rover traces its roots from the Rover Company which released only one specific model called the Rover in 1948. The company’s first truck, called Series I, started its permanent 4WD design. It was not until 1978 that the company started on its own.
Owners of Land Rovers are drawn to the brand because of its exclusivity which reflects their luxurious lifestyle. Land Rover models themselves are known to be purchased only by the rich and famous because of their high price tags. This, however, is justified by the models’ off-road capabilities, terrain and weather durability and the fact that they are customizable.
“One Life, Live It” is Land Rover’s long time slogan. The brand itself appeals to society's elites who have the means to buy its models. Another slogan used by the company is “Above and Beyond”.
Land Rover Review
Land Rover technology and innovation
Throughout history, the British automaker has continually improved its sole SUV segment by complementing powerful engines with massive body frames and a towering ride height. In the 1970s, the Range Rover was introduced onto the market with a V8 engine and a light aluminum body.
All Rover models are very durable and are built to last, meaning most of them take a decade before being replaced by a new line-up. Another advantage of owning a Land Rover is its ability to withstand the elements, especially floods, dirt and mud.
Some of the most recent innovations by Range Rover are: the Predictive Infotainment Screen which predicts which button the driver will press, the Mind Sense feature which monitors the concentration of the driver through sensors attached to the steering wheel, a Mid-air Torch, and the Wellness Seat that analyses respiration and the driver’s heart rate.
