Porsche ranks no. 1 brand in J.D. Power report

German carmaker Porsche has once again dominated in gaining the trust of its US customers in the recent 20^th Edition of the renowned J.D. Power “APEAL” (Automotive Performance, Execution, and Layout) Study.

For the eleventh time in succession, Porsche occupies first place in the overall rankings and continues to be the carmaker with the greatest appeal for drivers in the US.

The US-based market research institute J.D. Power measures the attitudes of more than 84,000 new car owners who purchased or leased the vehicles between November 2014 and February 2015. Different set of questions are evaluated in 10 vehicle categories which covers: exterior and interior styling, storage and space, audio/communication/entertainment/navigation, seats, heating/ventilation/air-conditioning (HVAC), driving dynamics, engine/transmission, visibility and safety, and fuel economy.

Meanwhile, the Macan—which represented in the study for the first time this year—ranks highest in the “Compact Premium SUV” segment. The sporty SUV Cayenne also enjoys great popularity among US customers in the “Midsize Sporty SUV” segment takes top position and making a solo lead for the fifth year in a row. The Cayman, too, gained the most points in its class, taking the “Highest Ranked Appeal” award in the “Compact Premium Sporty Car” category.

This is the second-time that Porsche led a J.D. Power study and having been recognized as the highest nameplates in the 2015 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study. The excellent results from both studies reflect the currently positive trend in the US market.

In the course of the year to date, the Stuttgart-based sports car manufacturer has supplied over 30,000 vehicles to its customers in the US and achieves an impressive 13-percent increase from January to June 2014.

At present, Porsche has been successful in many branches of motorsport (especially in long distance races) which leaves a great heritage of 30,000-plus wins to date.
