PRE-OWNED ISUZU MU-X: WHY WOULD YOU WANT ONE?
The Isuzu mu-X is the Japanese carmaker’s flagship SUV in the country. It remains one of the most popular entry-level full-size SUVs in the market thanks to its practicality and generous cargo offerings. Second-hand units of the mu-X are known for being great family vehicles. It can seat seven adult passengers and includes numerous convenience features for maximum comfort.
However, brand new mu-X vehicles do tend to be on the pricier side, competing with the likes of the Ford Everest, Toyota Fortuner, and Mitsubishi Montero which are all bestsellers in the midsize SUV segment. But because of its durability and powerful engine, the second-hand models manage to retain its youthful spirit.
If you’re on the search for an affordable family vehicle that’s ideal for everyday city driving as well as long journeys out-of-town, then a second-hand Isuzu mu-X is a dependable choice.

ISUZU MU-X OVERVIEW
The mu-X got its name from the phrase “Mysterious Utility eXtreme” and was introduced as a replacement to the widely-known Isuzu Alterra. The model was initially launched back in 2014 with only two diesel engine options where it immediately gained notoriety. The Japanese carmaker switched it up the following year by offering various trims and a more powerful 3.0-litre engine that made the vehicle shoot up in popularity even more.
Currently, the Isuzu mu-X is available in numerous variants with different powertrains. The most common is the 1.9-litre engine with Blue Power technology which generates 148 hp and 350 Nm of torque, and the revised 3.0-litre engine that is also equipped with Blue Power technology and produces 174 hp and 380 Nm of torque. Only the 3.0-litre variants come in 4x4 configuration while the rest are only available in 4x2.
Inside the vehicle is a 10-inch DVD monitor in the middle which is capable of mirroring the display of the 8-inch infotainment system on the dashboard. Both the front and the rear sections of the cabin is also equipped with USB ports for easy charging access. Some higher variants also come with blue mood lighting strips on the doors and power seats for the driver.
The Isuzu mu-X also has a plethora of safety features such as front dual airbags, electronic stability control, anti-lock braking system with electronic brake distribution, traction control system, hill descent control, and hill start assist. It also includes a reverse camera, childproof locks, and side-impact beams.

- Isuzu mu-X RZ4E LS-A 4x2 MT
