New and Used Hyundai Grace for Sale Philippines 2017

Hyundai Grace for sale Philippines | Hyundai Grace price Philippines | Brown Hyundai Grace

The Hyundai Grace, which is an offshoot of the classic Mitsubishi L300 van, is an old but reliable cargo and passenger van that was available from 1996 to 2000. Basically, the Grace was a rebadged L300, and available in a lone 8-seater van configuration, as opposed to L300, which also came in 3-seater variants. The Hyundai Grace also possessed a more fluid and aerodynamic design than the van from which it was based on, as well as a monocoque body with a bevy of safety features.

The Hyundai Grace was designed to be a utilitarian people carrier, and it plays that role to a T. There are plenty of rival vans out there that offer more refinement with all the bells and whistles, but that doesn’t prevent the Hyundai Grace from being a no-nonsense transporter that offers decent, reliable performance, both on and off the road.

Hyundai Grace Review in the Philippines

Hyundai Grace Specs and Performance

Throughout its lifespan, the Hyundai Grace was made available in a number of engine options, starting from a 1.5- and a 1.6-liter gasoline option, up to the 2.7-liter diesel engines of the latter years. All these engines were equipped with either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic gearbox. An independent wishbone and coil spring makes up the Grace’s front suspension, while a semielliptical leaf spring holds up the rear. The payload capacity of the Hyundai Grace was 925 kg at the time.

Hyundai Grace Fuel Consumption

The gas engine options of the Hyundai Grace were notorious gas guzzlers. On the contrary, the diesel variants posted stellar fuel economy for its time. If you’re looking to save on fuel costs, then the diesel variants are what you should look for.

Hyundai Grace Features

Hyundai Grace Convenience and Entertainment Features

The Hyundai Grace contains a very utilitarian interior with but a few creature comforts. There are also a lot of hard plastics everywhere. Although luxury points are minimal in the sparse cabin, overall, it’s quite durable. The plastic components and hard vinyl floor are designed to last a lifetime and withstand heavy traffic. Even the doors and hinges are built for longevity. Standard convenience and entertainment features to be found in the vehicle are:

  • Power steering
  • Manual air conditioner with dual climate control
  • AM/FM/cassette player audio system
  • Two speakers
  • 8-person seating capacity
  • Sizeable glove box

Hyundai Grace Safety Features

As an economy van, one can’t really expect the safety features in the Hyundai Grace to be topnotch. It’s no secret that it’s not the safety van you’ll find around, but fortunately, the Grace makes up for this with its sturdy build. The chassis is built to withstand heavy impact, and the front Y-beams are engineered to absorb much of the energy from a collision. And though limited, the Grace does have its fair share of common sense safety features to protect both passengers and cargo:

  • Anti-lock Braking System
  • Traction Control System
  • 3-pt. ELR seatbelts
  • Child lock
  • Front ventilated discs
  • Rear leading and trailing drum brakes

Hyundai Grace Design

Hyundai Grace Interior

Unlike the L300 which caters to both commercial and recreational purposes, the Grace was meant to be a private vehicle for a large family’s enjoyment. Whether you’re buying your secondhand Hyundai Grace from a private seller or an established dealer of used cars for sale, here’s what to expect in the van’s interior:

  • Dual air conditioning system
  • 3-pt. ELR seatbelts
  • Multiple storage options
  • 8-people seating capacity
  • Rear seat air control
  • 1-DIN CD/MP3 player

Hyundai Grace Exterior

As mentioned, the Grace was the L300’s more fluid and aerodynamic sibling, so imagine a less boxy and sleeker L300, and the Hyundai Grace is exactly what you’ll get. That said, the Grace’s exterior features are pretty similar to the van from which it’s based on, including the great all-around visibility. Key exterior features in the Hyundai van include:

  • Multi-reflector halogen headlamps
  • Fog lamps (optional)
  • Three-colored combination lamps
  • Sliding door
  • 14-inch alloy wheels
  • Two-tone color choices

Hyundai Grace Color Options

The Hyundai Grace went through a lot of color sets through its production life, including two-tone paint finishes with metallic grey as the second color below the beltline. Six of the Hyundai Grace van’s more popular shades are listed below:

  • Grace Beige Pearl
  • White Pearl
  • Pure White Mica
  • Canton Cherry Mica
  • Charming Grey Mica
  • Celadon Green Metallic
