New and Used Nissan Maxima for Sale Philippines

Nissan Maxima for sale Philippines | Nissan Maxima price Philippines | Silver Nissan Maxima

The Nissan Maxima, Nissan’s flagship sedan, is one of the Japanese carmaker’s most successful vehicles and is marketed as the “four-door sports car”. The Nissan Maxima has eight generations in its history. The Maxima entered the Philippine market during 1988, just a few years after the Martial Law was lifted. It was Nissan’s first luxury car, but it seems it had a rather short stay here in the country, since it was later replaced by Nissan Bluebird in 1990. It is not available anymore through Nissan’s official Philippine website, but those we can see today are second hand Nissan Maxima through previous owners or imported ones in the grey market.

Those who’ve owned the Maxima before seem to praise the comfort it offers and its overall performance. Even if it’s a 2nd hand Nissan Maxima, this vehicle will be a good choice for buyers who lean on practicality. If you want to learn more about the Nissan Maxima, read below for its specs, features, and prices in the Philippines.

Nissan Maxima Specs and Performance

The first generation lasted from 1981 to 1984, with a 2.4L 240Z engine that delivered 145 hp, a five-speed transmission and a rear-wheel drive. The second generation stayed for 3 years, from 1985 to 1988, with a 3.0L V6 engine that delivered 154 hp, and a front wheel drive. These first two generations were the compact versions while the following third generation was a mid-sized Maxima. From 1989 to 1994, the third generation Maxima had a 3.0L V6 engine with 160 hp. The fourth generation, on the other hand, lasted from 1995 to 1999 and had a 3.0L V6 engine as well, but delivered 190 hp. The fifth generation of the Maxima, which was sold from 2000 to 2003, saw different engines, like a 3.0L V6 engine with 222 hp and a 3.5L V6 engine with 255 hp. And now, the current eighth generation Nissan Maxima 2016 and Nissan Maxima 2017 sport 3.5L V6 engine, but with 300 hp.

For the suspensions, the Maxima J30 has an independent McPherson coil springs anti-roll bar for its front suspension and a multi-link coil springs anti-roll bar for its rear suspension.
