It debuted in September 2012 at the Paris Motor Show and started to roll out come December of the same year. Peugeot 301 Specs and Performance
In the Philippine market, this subcompact sedan is available in two variants: 1.6 HDi and 1.6 EC5. The 1.6 HDi sports a 1.6-liter turbodiesel engine that spurts a power of 92hp and a torque of 230Nm at 1750rpm. The 1.6 EC5, on the other hand, has a gasoline engine with the same displacement, but gives an output of 115hp of power and 150Nm at 4000rpm of torque. Both variants have a FWD drivetrain, but are offered with different transmissions. The 1.6 HDi comes with a 5-speed manual transmission while the 1.6 EC5 comes with a 4-speed automatic transmission.
The two variants comes with different tire sizes and wheel types. The turbodiesel variant has a 15” Harvey design alloy wheels with a size of 185/65/R15, while the gasoline variant has a 16” Spa design alloy wheels with a size of 195/55/R16. In terms of suspension, both sport the same. Both variants have a MacPherson strut, Anti-roll bar for the front suspension and a Trailing arm with deformable crossmember axle for the rear suspension. The Peugeot 301 Philippines boasts a dimension of 1715mm of width, 1466mm of height, and 4442mm of length, giving you enough cabin space to relax in.

The gasoline engine of the Peugeot 301 gives a fuel economy of 8.8 l/100km in city, 5.3 l/100km in highway and 6.5 l/100km combined. The diesel variant, on the other hand, gives a fuel economy of 4.9 l/100km in city, 3.7 l/100km in highway and 4.1 l/100 km combined.
