Astara PH unveils 2 new BEVs under JMEV line

MANILA: Astara Philippines has introduced two new energy vehicles from JMC (Jiangling Motors Corporation).

Both battery electric vehicle offerings, the company launched the JMEV EV2 and EV3 in the country — models that were teased and offered from pre-orders early this year.

Here are some bits of information about the two products of the company owned by Groupe Renault, JMC Group and China Agricultural Development Construction Fund Corporation.

Vehicle specifications

JMEV EV2

The JMEV EV2 measure:

• Digital instrument cluster (Dot Matrix Display)
• Nine-inch infotainment system matched to a two-speaker setup
• Four-way manual front seats
• Power windows
• Charging outlets (12-volt socket and Type-A USB port)

Moving the JMEV EV2 Powering the vehicle is an electric motor in a front-wheel-drive configuration that has the capacity to provide:

Such power delivery lets the four-seater vehicle reach a top speed of 105 kilometers per hour (kph).

The electric mill is paired with a 15.86-kilowatt-hour (kwh) battery that gives it a range of as much as 201 kilometers when fully charged (based on China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle [CLTC> standards).

Its host of safety features include:

• Anti-lock braking system with electronic force distribution
• Hill start assist
• Hydraulic brake assist

Priced at P668,000, the JMEV EV2 can be had in the following color options:

• Aurora White
• Future Cyan
• Dynamic Green

JMEV EV3

On the other hand, the bigger JMEV EV3 tapes in at:

Unlike the JMEV EV2, the EV3 is outfitted with an all-LED illumination setup.

• 10.1-inch infotainment system with integrated instrument cluster as well as CarbitLink, USB, and Bluetooth connectivity matched to a two-speaker configuration
• Manual adjustable front seats
• Air-conditioning system with automatic climate control
