Changan PH eyes to launch 3 models in 2026

MANILA: Inchcape Philippines is eyeing to launch at least three models under Changan in 2026 and they are likely offerings from Avatr and Deepal.

Such an assumption came after Changan Philippines Head of Sales Arlan Antonio Reyes Junior revealed the company’s plan to expand its roster next year during a recent luncheon with the local motoring media.

During his presentation, the local automotive industry veteran showed three covered vehicles with outlines similar to the offerings from the two sub brands. However, neither Reyes nor any member of the Changan Philippines team confirmed any details about the arriving models.

“Finalizations are still ongoing as to what the upcoming models will be, but rest assured that we will share them as soon as everything is set,” Reyes told Carmudi Philippines.

To note, both Avatr and Deepal are already present in neighboring countries such as Thailand and Singapore.

Given these developments, Changan Philippines might unveil the forthcoming products within the opening half of 2026.

Avatr

The premium electric vehicle brand is the collaboration of Changan Automobile, CATL, and Huawei Changan Automobile, CATL, and Huawei — with the first two being biggest shareholders (40.99 and 14.1 percent, respectively). Its headquarters is in Chongqing but it also has branches in Shanghai and Munich, Germany.

“Building on Changan Automobile’s manufacturing expertise and CATL’s breakthroughs in battery technology while integrating HUAWEI’s cutting-edge solutions for smart mobility, Avatr has established a new-generation intelligent EV technology platform characterized by its New Architecture, Powerful Computing, and High-voltage Charging capabilities,” the firm stated on its website.

Deepal

Another marque under the Changan group, Deepal provides electrified transport solutions in the mass-market category.
