Euro-spec Peugeot e-208 to get more power, range in 2023

Peugeot announced that the Euro-spec e-208 will receive a significant update in 2023 that will allow its customers get more power and better range.

According to the French automotive brand, the Peugeot e-208 will soon be offered with a new powertrain option that will increase its power by 15 percent and its electric driving range by 10.5 percent.

From 134 horsepower (hp), the 2023 Peugeot e-208 will be able to put out as much as 153.8 horses with 260Nm of torque thanks to the new electric motor. A new, more efficient high-voltage battery — with a gross capacity of 51 kilowatt-hours (kWh) — will help increase the range of the 2023 Peugeot e-208 from 225 miles (m) to 248m or from 362 kilometers (km) to 399km.

When it comes to charging the battery, Peugeot said that the Euro-spec e-208 will have two available chargers: a standard single-phase 7.4 kilowatt (kW) charger and an optional three-phase 11kW charger.

The Peugeot e-208 can charge from 20 to 80 percent in less than 25 minutes using a 100kW public charging point.
