Here's the All-New Volkswagen Polo
Volkswagen has launched the all-new Volkswagen Polo, its popular subcompact model that's now on its sixth-generation and, in a departure from the past five generations, will now be exclusively available with four doors--five in the case of the hatchback models. This means that, for the first time, the Polo will no longer be available as a three-door hatchback.
Larger Than Before
The all-new Polo has a sportier exterior, giving it a more mature countenance, and just like most full model changes, the sixth-gen model is larger in every dimension, offering up more space for the driver and passengers and increasing the boot's capacity from 280 to 351 liters.Volkswagen Polo Powertrain Choices
The Polo will be available not just in Volkswagen's three standard trims in the Trendline, Comfortline, and Highline, but also as the special-edition Polo Beats which has a 300-watt sound system, and the range-topping Polo GTI which has an output of 197 hp. Power output options for the all-new Polo range from 65 hp to 148 hp from a choice of four gasoline engines and two diesel mills in addition to the newly-developed 1.0-liter TGI natural gas engine that produces 89 hp. "The Polo is a young, fresh car," said Dr. Herbert Diess, Chairman of the Volkswagen Brand Board of Management. "It combines charisma with strong technology. No other car offers so much space for its size. This makes our Polo the number one compact car, and it will remain number one." In Germany, the prices of the all-new Volkswagen Polo starts at approximately P725,000 for the entry-level Trendline variant.
