Kawasaki Unveils Its New Ninja and Z Bikes

Good news to Kawasaki Ninja and Z fans: its  newest and most recently updated versions will be presented at the Intermot International Motorcycle (Intermot) Fair in Cologne, Germany on October 3 to 7, 2018.

Still sporting their signature looks, the Ninja 125 and the Z125 are the two newest 125cc models of this popular Japanese manufacturer.  The 125cc Ninja showcases designs similar to the ZX-10RR, while the Z125 still has semblances of the Z brand’s bare, effortless style.

Both the newest Ninja 125 and the Z125 share a single-cylinder, water-cooled engine rated at 15 hp and showcase a trellis framework that use the same stress technology that found in Ninja H2.

Now targeting younger riders, Kawasaki is also offering more powerful versions for the more experienced, skilled riders.

Both these bikes will make their debut at the Intermot motorcyle before they go on sale in 2019.

About the Kawasaki Ninja and Z125

The Kawasaki Ninja was first sold in 1984 with the GPZ900R. Over the years, this "assassin of the road" and its bold features have created its own culture and dedicated fans worldwide. Known for its famous Kawasaki Green, it's the company's "first liquid-cooled, dual overhead camshaft, 16-valve 4-cylinder engine that came packaged in a compact and light chassis."

The Kawasaki Z125 (or BR125) is part of the Z-series models offered by the Japanese brand. First mass-produced in 1971, it was the first mass-produced sports bike to sport a DOHC, 4-cylinder engine. The letter Z was chosen because it represented "the most extreme," something that precedes its reputation as the bike that "redefined the world of high-performance motorcycling."
