Kia displays upcoming EV5 at 13th PEVS
MANILA: Kia Philippines previewed the EV5 at the ongoing 13th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS).

The Kia EV5 can produce up to 214 horsepower and 310 Newton-meters of torque, according to Kia Philippines.Per the Korean automaker’s arm in the country, the aforementioned model is set to expand its full-electric roster come the first quarter of 2026 — joining the likes of the EV9.
“Electrification is reshaping the way we move, bringing new possibilities to how we drive and live,” Kia Philippines Managing Director Jay Lopez said.
“For Kia, this year marks the next phase of our evolution, a renewed commitment to innovation that moves people forward through both advanced electric vehicles and ever-efficient fuel-powered models,” he added.
While the pricing has yet to be shared at the time of publication, the ACMobility-led automotive distributor disclosed some details about the upcoming model.
Here’s what customers can expect from the Philippine-spec Kia EV5.

Vehicle specifications
The forthcoming will be powered by an electric motor mated to a 88.1-kilowatt-hour battery that has the capacity to provide:

Aside from that, the Kia EV5 also offers:

- Vehicle-to-load technology

However, the technologies present in the model in overseas markets include

Based on the specifications abroad, the tapes in at Kia EV5 is 4,615 millimeters (mm) long, 1,875 mm wide, and 1,715 mm in height.
Additionally, the Kia EV5 in other markets have:
- Power-adjustable front seats with power-adjustable lumbar supports
- Fabric and leather upholstery
- Panoramic sunroof
- Wireless smartphone charging pad
- Dual 12.3-inch digital display (gauge cluster and infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity)
- Dual-zone air-conditioning system
