Kia US wants ‘Binky’ added as emoji

The United States (US) arm of Kia is eyeing for the addition of a “binky” emoji to be made available on computers and mobile devices.

In a statement, Kia America announced that it has created a petition on change.org to push the motion.

“If you forgot your baby’s binky, you’d have a meltdown on your hands. Well, the binky has been forgotten... from our keyboards. There’s an emoji for just about everything, and yet the classic binky is still missing. The binky emoji deserves a spot on our keyboards not only because it’s iconic, but so parents all over can have an extra reminder when they are packing for a trip or running an errand, not to forget the binky. Join us in our petition to turn every baby’s favorite thing into an emoji,” Kia America wrote.

Those looking to support Kia’s proposal can sign the petition by going to this link: Change.org/KiaBinkyEmoji.

Kia America will reportedly reveal why the petition matters at the Super Bowl on February 12, 2023.
