MACC inks partnership with Volkswagen Truck and Bus

MAN Automotive Concessionaires Corp. (MACC) has announced its partnership with the truck and bus arm of German vehicle manufacturer, Volkswagen.

MACC (which has been in the business for more than three decades), said that Volkswagen Truck and Bus models will be filling their current lineup with commercial vehicles belonging to the Categories 3 and 4 in different weight classes.

The newest offerings range from 9 tons to 31 tons, and in 4x2, 4x4, 6x4, 8x2 and 8x4 executions with different applications. These are closed vans, wing-vans, refrigerated vans, drop-sides, flat beds, people transport, food and beverage transport, boom trucks, tipper trucks, cement mixers, and specialty-purpose vehicles.

The company said that these vehicles are equipped with Cummins and MAN engines with the efficient Common Rail fuel management system that is Euro5 compliant.

Also, the power mills fitted in the said vehicles have Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) emission technology and will come in six-speed, nine-speed and 16-speed transmissions.

“Comfort and safety were top-of-mind in the design of these vehicles. They have the conveniences of powered door locks, powered windows and side mirrors, ergonomic seats, and seating arrangement. And not to forget, the cab is aesthetically modern,” MACC added.

While MACC has been providing business solutions locally for 32 years already with strong aftersales support, Volkswagen Truck and Bus has 40 years of providing German technology and reliability under its belt.

Volkswagen Truck and Bus immediately started exporting to Chile, Paraguay, and Mexico in its first year has tapped over 160,000 vehicles to more than 30 countries in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
