Those eyeing the Subaru XV 2.0 i-S Eyesight CVT — which has a suggested retail price of P1.908 million — can enjoy a P240,000-discount and a free tire repair kit.
To note, the vehicle’s idle start-stop feature shuts off the engine while sitting in traffic — a much-welcomed technology special that everyone is experiencing heavy traffic jams nowadays. According to MIPI, the feature allows users to cut down fuel consumption by as much as four percent.
In addition, the Subaru XV’s tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) gives the driver instant feedback on the pressure of each tire.

Aside from the idle start-stop and TPMS, the Subaru Forester comes with a driving monitoring system (DMS) that uses facial recognition technology to store driver information. Seat position and climate settings are instantly stored by the car upon setup for up to five drivers. DMS also recognizes hand gestures for changing climate settings even while driving.
Further, the vehicle has the EyeSight 4.0 advanced driving assistance system with Level-2 automation. It also comes with adaptive cruise control (ACC). “Trips back to the province this holiday season will be a breeze as drivers do not need to constantly watch their speedometer as Eyesight maintains highway legal limits with its ‘set-it-and-forget’ ACC feature,” MIPI explained.
