Subaru PH's Ultimate Test Drive for Metro Manila is Until Today Only

The Metro Manila leg of Subaru Philippines' Ultimate Test Drive is only until today, July 1, so if you haven't dropped by, now would be a good time to do so. With the Ultimate Test Drive, customers have the opportunity to put practically all of the vehicles in Subaru Philippines' local line-up, from the iconic Subaru Impreza compact sedan to the popular Subaru XV compact crossover, to the test. The three-day event, which kicked off on Friday, July 29, showcases Subaru's four key technologies: its Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system, its classic Boxer Engine design, its new Global Platform, and its intelligent EyeSight system. To highlight the first three technologies, Subaru Philippines created a course to demonstrate them on the vehicles. The Cross Rollers, for example, shows off the vehicles' rigid body and the Vehicle Dynamics Control System while the Slip Rollers proves the mettle of the all-wheel drive system. The Side Ramp shows the balance and stability of the vehicles as they're driven at extreme angles and the benefit of the Boxer Engine's low center of gravity and the Shell Pits validates the independent suspension design. The highlight of the Ultimate Test Drive though is the demonstration of Subaru's EyeSight technology. For this, Subaru Philippines laid out a course that validates the advantages of the system. Through its Pre-Collision Braking System, the vehicle applies the brake to--depending on the vehicle's speed--either reduce the impact or prevent a collision when it detects an impending collision. With the Pre-Collision Throttle Management, if an obstacle is detected in front of the vehicle and it is put in Drive instead of Reverse, it alerts the driver with audible and visual warnings and cuts the engine output to help avoid a collision. With the Lead Vehicle Start, audible and visual alerts prompts the driver if the system detects that the traffic has started moving while the Adaptive Cruise Control not only maintains the vehicle speed as set by the driver but also adjusts the speed to keep a set distance with the vehicle in front through adjustments with its engine, transmission, and brakes. The Metro Manila leg of Subaru Philippines' Ultimate Test Drive is being held at the Uptown Parade open parking lot in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.
