Base spec looks, lacklustre charging speed
In terms of look and feel, the Aion ES is very ‘base-spec.’ Electric vehicles should be futuristic, in my opinion, but this is not something that you can expect from the Aion ES. The 17″ single-tone alloy wheels make it look aged from its side profile. The suspension has been dampened for comfort, making the Aion ES quite good over rough roads but scary to drive hard. At high speed, this vehicle doesn’t feel at home. Charging speed is also quite lacklustre. The limited safety features and the lack of ADAS are difficult to digest when most of the competitors in the same bracket offer these amenities.
