Lotus Emeya Interior
Lotus’ mastery when it comes to prioritizing the needs of its drivers is really evident in the Emeya’s cabin layout. At the front, it has an intelligent driver cockpit that gives the driver access to a 51-inch heads-up display that delivers real-time information as well as a 12.6-inch digital driver display. Meanwhile, all passengers have access to a 15.1-inch OLED central infotainment display that offers Lotus Connect Core, 5G Telematics with Over The Air updates, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This infotainment system is connected to a KEF and Dolby Atmos 3D surround soundscape for hyper-realistic acoustics all around the cabin.
The interior of the Lotus Emeya has an abundance of premium materials that provide a superb plush and luxurious feeling. The seats of the 600 series variants come with Jasper with black LOTUSWEAR Performance fabric upholstery, while the higher 900 series trims offer Quartz seats that are made with light grey LOTUSWEAR Performance fabric upholstery for more sophistication and prestige. All the variants have 12-way power and heated seats that provide everyone on board with supportive cushioning and good ergonomics.

Lotus Emeya Exterior
Similar to the Eletre, the Lotus Emeya also flaunts a functional build that enhances its range, handling and stability, and its driving performance in general. Its facade is defined by an active grille with a sporty black and grey contrast as well as an automatic air dam, both of which emphasize its aggressiveness and power on the road. For top-notch visibility, it comes with LED matrix headlights that adopt an adaptive driving beam technology.
Meanwhile, its rear has a nice motorsport look courtesy of its diffuser, highly-functional wing, and dual-layer spoiler. And, to complete its hindlook, it comes with a hypermodern-looking single strip taillight. Ultimately, the Lotus Emeya’s design language really manifests its driver-centric personality.
All variants are 5,139 mm in length, 2,241 mm in width (mirrors out), 1,459 mm in height, 3,069 mm in wheelbase, and have a 166 mm maximum ground clearance. The base 600 variant runs on a set of 20-inch 5-spoke aero wheels, while the rest are given 21-inch 10-spoke diamond turned wheels.

Lotus Emeya Ride & Handling
All variants of the Lotus Emeya utilize a 2-chamber active air suspension system that enhances its dynamism on the road. It runs precisely and offers excellent handling in the city or on the highway. It does not have the same level of bump absorption as the Eletre due to its lower ground clearance, but it can deliver the same quality of comfort and enjoyment. For more road adaptability, the 600 series variants are equipped with four drive modes: Range, Tour, Sport, and Individual, while the 900 series variants have five, which include a Track mode.

Lotus Emeya Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Lotus Emeya line offers two electric powertrain options. First, the 600 series variants run on a dual-motor powertrain that has a maximum power output of 450 kW (612 PS) and a maximum torque of 710 Nm. On the other hand, the 900 series variants run on a dual-motor powertrain that has a maximum power output of 675 kW (918 PS) and a maximum torque of 985 Nm.
All variants are powered by a Ternary lithium-ion battery that has a total storage capacity of 102 kWh, a direct current (DC) charging at 420 kW time of 10% to 80% in just 15 minutes, and an alternating current (AC) charging at 22 kW time of 0% to 100% in 5.5 hours. Like the Eletre, the Lotus Emeya line’s battery is also tuned differently, which results in different WLTP combined driving ranges. The base 600 variant’s battery has a combined driving range of up to 610 kms, whereas its GT SE and Sport SE counterparts have a range of up to 580 kms. On the other hand, the 900 series variants have a driving range of up to 485 km. All variants run on a four-wheel drivetrain.
Regardless of the series, the Lotus Emeya has an excellent power delivery, especially on the open road. It is super quick on a straight line and just offers a driver-focused road performance. That said, this is very enjoyable to drive both in the city or on the highway. However, for EV standards, its efficiency could still be improved moving forward. In my opinion, its 900 series variants are not advisable to use for long-distance trips out of town if you have a huge appetite for its impressive acceleration (and struggle with range anxiety). But, it is still a feasible daily driver in the city at the end of the day.

Lotus Emeya Braking & Safety
The Lotus Emeya is equipped with state-of-the-art safety features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, two NVIDIA DRIVE Orin chips that are used for processing the data gathered from the car’s 34 sensors, as well as a 360-degree perception system. In terms of braking, the base 600 variant uses a 4-Piston caliper braking system, while the rest are equipped with the 6-Piston version.

Lotus Emeya Verdict
Setting aside its price point that is more expensive than most, the Lotus Emeya definitely deserves more attention from local car enthusiasts and elite consumers since it masterfully offers an environmentally-friendly ride without sacrificing the impressive performance that its predecessors developed and showcased.
