Indian Scout Bobber Overview
The Indian Scout Bobber stands out as a unique and attractive offering in the Indian Motorcycle lineup for the Philippine two-wheeler market. Drawing inspiration from the Scout cruiser, the Scout Bobber incorporates numerous design elements that embody the quintessential bobber motorcycle style. The Indian Scout Bobber is available in six striking color options: Black Smoke, Ruby Smoke, Sagebrush Smoke, Silver Quartz Smoke, Stealth Grey with Azure Crystal, and Copper Smoke.

Indian Scout Bobber Design
Bobber motorcycles are renowned for their eye-catching, custom-style appearance, and the Indian Scout Bobber is no exception. The low-slung design, trimmed bodywork, solo seat, and bar-end mirrors contribute to its head-turning appeal. However, these features also compromise its suitability for daily use. The front of the Indian Scout Bobber showcases a round halogen headlamp encased within a rounded cowl, flanked by round amber turn indicators on both sides.
The compact, trimmed front fender over the large, thick front tire adds to the motorcycle's minimalist profile. The Indian Scout Bobber shares its elegantly curved fuel tank, black-themed engine, dual exhausts, and substantial radiator with the Scout cruiser. In contrast to the cruiser, the Scout Bobber features an even lower stance, resulting in reduced ground clearance. Consistent with bobber styling, the Scout Bobber offers a single-seat setup as standard.
The rear of the Indian Scout Bobber exudes a custom motorcycle vibe, featuring a curved and trimmed fender with round lights on either side. These lights incorporate both turn indicators and LED tail lamps. The motorcycle does not offer a provision for a pillion seat, with the rounded rear fender positioned above the wide rear tire.
The Indian Scout Bobber features a broad handlebar fitted with premium switches and a single-pod rounded instrument console at the center. This console includes a classic analog speedometer and a small LCD panel for fuel level, odometer, trip meters, and warning lights. While we appreciate the information provided, a more contemporary unit would have been preferred. Nonetheless, it complements the overall theme of the Scout Bobber. The motorcycle also comes with bar-end mounted rounded rearview mirrors, further enhancing its authentic bobber charm.

Indian Scout Bobber Ride & Handling
The Indian Scout Bobber employs conventional suspension components, featuring telescopic hydraulic forks at the front and dual-sided coil springs at the rear. With a front suspension travel of 120mm and rear suspension travel of 51mm, the ride quality leans towards the stiffer side, which becomes noticeable on rough surfaces. However, the Scout Bobber maintains stability and agility during high-speed rides. The Scout Bobber is equipped with 16-inch alloy wheels and Pirelli-sourced 130/90 B16 front and 150/80 B16 rear tires. Braking performance is ensured by single 298mm disc brakes at both the front and rear ends.
-
Indian Scout Bobber Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Indian Scout Bobber shares the same four-stroke, liquid-cooled, V-twin, 1133cc engine as its sibling, the Scout cruiser. Despite being one of the smallest engines in the Indian Motorcycle family, it delivers impressive power and torque outputs. Coupled with a 5-speed gearbox, the smooth and refined engine generates 95 PS of maximum power and 97 Nm of maximum torque. This long-stroke engine offers ample torque for city rides and highway cruising alike.
-
Indian Scout Bobber Braking & Safety
Dual-channel ABS is the sole noticeable safety feature that is present in the Indian Scout Bobber. Owners of Scout Bobber motorcycles are severely missing out on important safety measures for a contemporary motorcycle.
-
Indian Scout Bobber Verdict
The Indian Scout Bobber, with its traditional design and mechanical components, appeals to enthusiasts who appreciate the timeless allure of a classic bobber motorcycle. Its powerful engine and firm suspension setup make it an exhilarating ride on long stretches of open road. While it may not be the most practical option for daily use due to its low ground clearance and solo seat, the Indian Scout Bobber's distinctive style and performance make it an enticing choice for those seeking a unique and exciting riding experience.
