Kawasaki Ninja 400 Review
Kawasaki Ninja 400 Overview
Making an entry into the Philippines market in 2018, the Kawasaki Ninja 400 finds itself a sweet spot in the hearts of those who desire performance, riding dynamics, agility, and controllability. The house of Ninja needs no introduction in terms of power and performance and this sport’s bike is a combination of both the ABS version and a KRT variant. The monster is available at a hefty price of PH 315,000. Ninja 400 is highly desirable for those who find a 650cc motorcycle less practical and more aggressive to use.
Ninja 400, as the name speaks, has a powerful DNA running through its chassis. Also, it has some revamped qualities that make it better from its bigger siblings, making it all the more enticing for the new and skilled riders. Ninja models are always known for their sharp and aggressive styling hues and undoubtedly, the Ninja 400 also has a tint of both the features. The chassis and frame seem much similar to that of Ninja H2, and the slipper clutch is very similar to that used in Ninja Zx-14R with supreme stopping and controllability power with large 310 mm semi-floating front disc brakes.
For ultimate rider comfort, the Ninja 400 comes with a radiator fan and side fairings. Some additional new features also include LED lighting, digital instrumentation, and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and immobilizer for safety. The Kawasaki Ninja 400 is being offered in two paint schemes - green and black.
Kawasaki Ninja 400 Design
If you are a fan of the satanic and telluric appearance of Ninja H2, you will definitely fall in love with the looks of Ninja 400 as well. Even better, Ninja 400 has better and upgraded design elements. Taking a glance at Ninja 400, the thing that will catch your attention id the dual headlamp setup with LED headlights, with a pointed chin, making the front fascia look sharper. The large fairing at the front with a transparent visor and turn signals, are perfectly settled and incorporated at the place. The rearview mirrors are also mounted at the front stance.
Talking about the side fascia of the motorcycle, we see an uprightly pointed tail section that looks very similar to what Ninja ZX-6R does have. However, from looking afar, we see a wide gap between the rear wheel and the tail section, which is the main reason why Ninja 400 looks sporty and stylish at the same time. The rear section is highlighted by full LED tail lamp. The console incorporates an analog tachometer and an LCD screen, which displays digital speedometer, odometer, trip meters, clock, fuel gauge, and gear indicator.
Kawasaki Ninja 400 Ride & Handling
Though Ninja 400 has been widely revamped and overhauled in terms of design and ergonomics, still most of its features are similar to that of Ninja 300. Talking about the ride and handling features, the Ninja 400 has mono-shock at the rear which makes it very comfortable for the rider to handle the bike even at higher speeds. The frame also has telescopic forks at the front for efficient support. Additionally, it also has disc brakes making it a complete package for the riders.
Kawasaki Ninja 400 Engine & Fuel Consumption
At the heart of this powerful and stylish motorcycle, lies a four-stroke, liquid-cooled, and parallel-twin 399cc engine. It is also powered by DOHC gasoline. The engine is extremely powerful to spark output of 49.3 PS and a peak torque of 38 Nm. The engine is complemented by a 6-speed gearbox with slick gearshifts and shorter gear ratios for an efficient ride.
Kawasaki Ninja 400 Braking & Safety
