New and Used BMW 325i for Sale Philippines

BMW 325i for sale Philippines | BMW 325i price Philippines | White BMW 325i

Do you want to own a BMW? Of course you do. Almost everyone wants to have one (well, we do). If your answer is yes, then you're in luck. You just might have a chance to own one yourself, especially if your budget is only less than half a million to around P1.5 million.

Enter the BMW 325i. It's the cheapest in the BMW lineup because it's the entry-level luxury model (and the bread-and-butter) of BMW. Of course, some of you cynics out there might say that since it's the cheapest, then it's probably not a good car. Well, you're all so mistaken. The price certainly doesn't justify this vehicle, since the 325i is packed with goodies, such as lightweight magnesium in its engine block, innovative valve lifts instead of throttle plates, and run-flat tires.

The 325i belongs to the BMW 3 Series (E36), which was first introduced in 1990 as a 4-door sedan body style. Later on, three more E36 styles were added: the coupe, convertible, station wagon (touring), and hatchback (compact). In 1998, the E36 sedans were replaced by BMW E46, while the E36 station wagon and coupe models stayed on until 1999. The convertible models stayed in production until 2000, while the hatchback was in production until 2001.

The 3 Series E36 model was considered a successful model, and was named in in Car and Driver Magazine's "10 Best Cars" list for every year of its production. This achievement laid a strong foundation for the success of BMW E46 in subsequent years. The BMW 325i was sold from 1991-1993 as a sedan and later on expanded to coupe and convertible from 1993-1995. BMW also produced 150 highly-modified 325is for the Motorsports as a way to gauge the demand for its new E36 (based M3) in the US market.

The BMW 325i Philippines may not be available as a brand new car, but you can buy a 2nd hand BMW 325i in many parts of the country. Among its toughest competitors include the Volvo S40, Audi A4 and Mercedes-Benz C Class.

BMW 325i Review in the Philippines

BMW 325i Specs and Performance

The "Ultimate Driving Machine" is back. And while the BMW 325i "only" chomps up 215 hp at 6,250 rpm and 185 pounds-feet of torque at 2,750 RPM, its aluminum / magnesium powerplant has more than enough force to rocket this sedan from 0-60 in 6-7 seconds. Yes, you might have to keep the revs to above 3,000 to keep it pumping, but really, with a BMW, it's not much of a chore, isn't it? Besides, the seductive growl of the engine and the sweet purr of the six spins are more than enough to motivate you to rev up and drive really fast (good luck with the traffic, though).

BMW 325i Fuel Consumption

The BMW 325i can take you along for a really great ride without creating a large hole on your wallet for fuel expenses.

Second hand BMW 325i fuel consumption:

  • BMW 325i 2010: 10.9 l/100km
  • BMW 325i 2009: 11.3 l/100km
  • BMW 325i 2008: 10.7 l/100km

BMW 325i Features

BMW 325i Convenience and Entertainment Features

The E36 is what we call the "authentic drivers car". Why? Because drivers will truly appreciate getting behind the driver's seat. This car has an aluminum suspension that makes it lighter, and the balanced suspension allows for a more stable, comfortable drive. The steering wheel is responsive and precise, making it easy to maneuver around tight spaces and alleys.

BMW 325i Design

BMW 325i Interior

One caveat of cutting costs is that the BMW focused more on the 325i's performance instead of the more intricate details (particularly its design coherence and refinement) of the car. And while the interiors still have an "affluent" air about it, the materials used are not as polished compared to the higher models. Gone are the soft-touch plastics, fine-textured headliners, and other opulent materials that the BMW vehicles are known for. However, we still think they did a fairly good job of juggling quality, aesthetics, and performance without sacrificing too much of each in the process.

  • Start/Stop button
  • Folding rear seat (optional)
  • Automatic climate control

BMW 325i Exterior

The 325i's body style is often described by many as "dolphin shaped", although BMW has a rather verbose way of sounding far more technical than it really is. According to them, it "Blends 3 Series character and tradition with progressive aesthetics and enhanced functionality." Whatever the case, we'll still stick with the "dolphin" description just because we don't want to complicate things (and dolphins are far way much cuter). We'll let BMW do the mental dissection for us, thank you very much.
