New and Used Tata Indigo for Sale Philippines 2018
The Tata Indigo is a sub-compact sedan car assembled and marketed by Indian motor giant Tata Motors – basically it is a three-box version of the Tata Indica. The Indigo first entered the market in 2002 and has seen three generations since. The Indigo comes in a variety of body styles depending on its generation. The Indigo’s first generation was offered in a 4-door sedan or 4-door station wagon body style while its second generation was available solely as a 4-door sedan. The first generation of the Tata Indigo was updated in 2006, giving it a more modern and opulent feel to compete with the other models in its segment. Giving birth to new generation, the refreshed Tata Indigo model went on to form the basis of three other variants: the Indigo Marina station-wagon, the Indigo XL which has larger dimensions, and the Indigo CS, a compact sedan which was then the shortest in the world during its launch in 2008. In 2010, the Tata Indigo CS was reintroduced as Tata Indigo eCS, featuring a new turbocharged diesel engine. The following years saw several improvements on its design and additional features such as the ABS, EBD, and E-ORVMs.
The Indigo shares a base design with the Tata Indica, and although very similar, the former is equipped with either a turbocharged-diesel or a petrol engine and has a longer wheelbase. In the Philippine market, only a diesel engine is available. The Tata Indigo Philippines is a spacious, fuel efficient car that is ideal for a first time buyer or a small to medium sized family. Car buyers in the market for an affordable sub-compact should consider the Tata Indigo for its spacious cabin and trunk, good fuel economy, competitive features and compact, stylish design.
