Aston Martin names Bowers and Wilkins as official audio partner

Aston Martin has announced that Bowers and Wilkins is now its official audio partner.

On that note, the British consumer and professional loudspeakers and headphones manufacturer will supply premium audio systems to Aston Martin with the recently launched DB12 being the first model to be optionally equipped with a Bowers and Wilkins surround sound system.

The pure sound of our engines alone already delivers visceral emotions and sensations. And now, with the addition of truly perforating sound being delivered so clearly through the newly developed audio system, we’ve harmonized our interior designs with new innovation and tech, so our drivers feel the energy, feel the calm, feel the luxury, all at once. Bowers and Wilkins have delivered a system that both meets these design ambitions and ensures that it looks as striking as it sounds. Drivers may wield it as they wish to create their own perfect experience,” commented Aston Martin Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman.

To be offered as an add-on, the Bowers & Wilkins audio system fitted on the Aston Martin DB12 features 15 loudspeakers, a 14-channel amplifier, and state-of-the-art sound processing technology.

These include Bowers and Wilkins 25-millimeter (mm) Nautilus Aluminium Double Dome tweeters found in the dashboard, doors, and behind the B-pillar, as well as Bowers & Wilkins Continuum mid-range speakers.
