Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Overview
The Aston Martin DBS Superleggera is a modern interpretation of a historic name in a neat package. Though this DBS shares some design features with the DB11, it is unique when it comes to its super lightweight mass and other modern improvements. To drum up interest, the British luxury carmaker unveiled a DBS Superleggera to celebrate 50 years of the James Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service. The limited-edition Superleggera is very exclusive indeed as only 50 units were ever produced and were sold immediately. The Superleggera will also make an appearance on another James Bond film, No Time to Die, which is yet to be released.

Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Interior
Inside this English grand tourer is the very sporty interior starting with sports bucket seats clad in leather that matches the obsidian black leather sports steering wheel. The multifunction steering wheel with independent buttons on each driving mode and paddle shifters is the foreground to the 12-inch TFT instrument cluster. At the center are an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen and voice-activated display. The center-mounted LCD display comes standard with integrated satellite navigation mapping, Bluetooth phone and music streaming, and compatible with an iOS operating system. It is partnered to Aston Martin premium audio system which can be upgraded to a Bang & Olufsen Beo Sound system for those looking for the ultimate audio experience to match your ride. Push buttons on the center console, automatic temperature control, carpeted cabin, and stitch details on trims round up the posh, very James Bond interior feel. To make the Superleggera more luxurious, there are a ton of options from the upholstery design, trims, to materials that can be discussed with the company’s in-house expert to give the DBS a more custom, personal feel to it.

Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Exterior
The Aston Martin DBS Superleggera defining character begins at the clamshell bonnet with dual vents, massive black mesh front grille, integrated LED headlights with boomerang-shaped daytime running lights, front splitter, and air dam which completes a sporty, muscular look. The sides are highlighted by side louver, stirrup, sills, and a curved body that points to the bulky rear fenders. At the back of the Superleggera is a fixed spoiler with aero blade located above the narrow LED taillights with stop tail and dynamic indicator functions. Below are the quad exhaust tailpipes—two on each side, sitting above the dual diffuser with blades. Every curve, blade, and vents on this car are not just for good looks, there is actual engineering purpose behind it. It directs airflow, reduces drag, and makes the car more aerodynamic.
The Two-door body style Aston Martin DBS Superleggera measures 4,712 mm long, 2,146 mm wide, 1,280 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,805 mm with a ground clearance of 90 mm (including air dam). It rides on a set of 21-inch forged Y spoke rims wrapped in 21" Pirelli P Zero 265/35/21 at the front tires and 21" Pirelli P Zero 305/30/21 for the rear tires.

Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Ride & Handling
Driving the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera is pure exhilaration when it gets to flex its muscles on barely empty roads or the track. The power and pure torque generated by the V12 engine coupled with the aluminum with carbon fiber bodywork makes it very light to generate 180kg of downforce at maximum speed with no drag penalty, as compared to the DB11, which makes for a very stable road machine. Even on winding roads and rough pavement, the Superleggera can deliver a cushioned and smooth ride thanks to its suspension system that consist of independent double-wishbone design coil springs at the front and multi-link and coil at the rear. The suspension is further enhanced by anti-roll bars and an adaptive damping system (ADS). There are also three driving modes to choose from: GT, Sport, and Sport Plus mode to intensify the driving experience and responsiveness of the car based on the terrain and weather conditions. Just make sure that you make the most of this super GT’s braking power when to avoid the skid plates and low splitter from hitting speed humps or deep potholes.
Aston Martin advertises a 2 + 2 seating capacity on its coupe but in reality, rear seats can be bearable for short-distance driving only for full-grown adults because of the cramped leg space and lower headroom. For sure, shoulder room and seat comfort are there but is best to just use the rear seats for luggage during long trips. Speaking of which, handcrafted DBS Superleggera luggage set is offered as an added option so your luggage can match the interior fittings of your car.

This English grand tourer can go from a complete standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and can reach a top speed of 340 km/h. In terms of fuel efficiency, the DBS Superleggera uses 16.4 L/100km for city driving, 10.7 L/100km for highway, for a combined 13.8L/100km driving efficiency.

Other security and convenience features include keyless entry, front and rear parking sensors, tire pressure monitoring, alarm and immobilizer, side mirror tilt down on reverse, parking distance display, and parking assist, and a 360-degree camera.
