Aston Martin PH launches Aston Martin Vanquish S
DBPhils Motorsports, Inc., the official distributor of Aston Martin in the Philippines, recently launched the Aston Martin Vanquish S in the country.
Now on its second generation, the Vanquish S is an upgrade of the standard Vanquish, which was launched in 2012. It has the same 6.0-liter V12 engine as the Vanquish but with its power output bumped up from 565 hp to 592 hp thanks to a revised, freer-breathing intake system. As such, DBPhils President and Chairman Marc Tagle noted that, with most carmakers switching to turbocharging to boost the power produced by their vehicles, the Vanquish S may be one of the last of the naturally-aspirated V12 engines to be available in the market.
Putting all 592 horses to the ground through the rear wheels is an eight-speed Touchtronic III transmission that has also been revised to swap cogs faster and yet be more refined at low speeds.
Externally, the Vanquish S can be easily distinguished from the standard model by the exposed carbon fiber components, from the front splitter, the side skirts, and the door mirror pods, to the rear diffuser " to deliver a meaningful reduction in frontal lift with a minimal penalty in additional drag." The Vanquish S also has quad exhaust outlets, and to cap the entire package, a Vanquish S badge on the tailgate.
Inside, the Vanquish S comes with 'Filograph' quilted leather on the seats and door panels while the dashboard and center console are wrapped in plain leather. Completing the look inside is the Vanquish S embroidery on the headrests.
"In its second generation the Vanquish maintained that momentum with huge engineering advances such as its all-carbon-fiber bodywork and compelling, contemporary styling," said Aston Martin President & CEO Andy Palmer in a statement. "Now, the Aston Martin Vanquish S takes things a step further, confidently asserting itself within the Aston Martin range and distinguishing itself from the new DB11. A spectacular machine in every sense, the Vanquish S is a magnificent addition to our range."
