Aside from recently bagging a pair of golds at the 2024 Paris Olympics, gymnastics extraordinaire Carlos Yulo just brought home a silver — a silver-hued sport utility vehicle care of Chery Auto Philippines (CAP).
The United Asia Automotive Group Incorporated (UAAGI)-led distributor officially handed over the keys of a silver-painted Chery Tiggo 7 Pro to the two-time gold medalist. Leading the formal turnover ceremonies were UAAGI Chairman Rommel Sytin, Group Managing Director Froilan Dytianquin, UAAGI Chief Marketing Executive and Senior Vice President Lyn Buena.
Photo from Chery Auto PHIn a statement, aside from the vehicle, CAP will also give a free lifetime oil change and vehicle safety check-ups to go with the standard three-year free preventive maintenance schedule, free roadside assistance, five-year or 150,000-kilometers bumper-to-bumper warranty, 10-year engine warranty.
The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is 4,500 millimeters (mm) long; 1,842 mm wide; and 1,746 mm tall with a 2,670-mm wheelbase. Its notable exterior appointments include the panoramic sunroof, 18-inch alloy wheels, and integrated load-bearing roof rail.
Inside the cabin are two digital displays (with the infotainment system mated to a six-speaker set-up), electronically-adjustable seats, a four-way adjustable power steering wheel, and dual-zone air-conditioning system. The SUV has a hauling capacity of up to 1,500 liters.
Photo from Chery Auto PHFitted in the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that can dish out as much as 143 horsepower and 210 Newton-meters of torque. The mill is paired with a continuous variable transmission.
Guaranteeing driving stability are the Macpherson Independent suspension at the front and multi-link independent-type at the rear while the disc brakes on all four wheels facilitates its deceleration and halting.
Further, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is equipped with anti-lock brake system, N95 air cabin filter, six airbags, cruise control and speed limiter, electronic child safety lock, and hill descent control.
