Deepal PH establishes first-ever showroom

MANILA: Deepal Philippines, the smart electric vehicle (EV) brand under Changan Automobile, has opened its first showroom in the country.

Located along Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City, the dealership marked a major milestone in the brand’s continued expansion and a significant step forward in the nation’s transition toward new energy and intelligent mobility. 

“The Philippines is an important market for Changan and Deepal. Through our partnership with Autohub Group, we are committed to bringing advanced, intelligent, and sustainable mobility solutions closer to Filipino customers,” Changan Auto Southeast Asia Vice Director Leslie Wu was quoted as saying.

Deepal Shaw Boulevard

Deepal Shaw Boulevard spans approximately 1,562 square meters, with a four-car showroom and 10 service bays.

Per the brand, the dealership is designed as a full-service hub that integrates both sales and aftersales support to deliver a complete ownership experience. 

Autohub Group President Willy Tee Ten described the launch as both a milestone and a celebration of the group’s 27-year journey in the automotive industry.

“This is more than a showroom launch, it is the start of a new era in mobility,” he said, emphasizing Deepal’s REEV (range-extended electric vehicle) technology as a breakthrough that brings together efficiency, performance, and real-world practicality for Filipino drivers.

Deepal S05, G318 REEV turnovers

During the dealership opening Deepal Philippines officially turned over 12 unit to pioneer customers who ordered the S05 and G318 REEV.

It was followed by an additional 56 units scheduled for release in the coming days, reflecting strong early demand and enthusiastic market reception. 

The increasing number of orders for Deepal vehicles falls in line with Tee Ten’s noting of the growing benefits of electrified mobility, particularly in terms of long-term ownership savings through reduced fuel dependency, lower operating costs, and improved efficiency compared to traditional vehicles.

Newly minted as Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines head, Tee Ten also stated that strong support from banking and insurance partners will further help make new energy vehicles more accessible to a wider market.
