FIA Brings to Formula E Grand Prix #3500lives Campaign, Use of Child Seats

The Federation International de l’Automobile (FIA) has boosted its campaign on road safety at the E-Village of the E-Prix.

Its global campaign '#3500lives' was highlighted in its stand as well as the use of Child Safety Seats.

The #3500Lives Global Road Safety Campaign, which is supported by 15 world-renowned ambassadors in sport, music, and film, is inviting road users to follow the FIS Golden Rules for Road Safety.

Based on studies, some 3,500 children are victims of road crashes as it is the number one cause of fatalities for those aged 15-29 years old.

Apart from that, its stand at Hong Kong also showed the 'Use a Child Safety Seat' rule embodied by Actress, Producer, and UNDP Goodwill Ambassador Michelle Yeoh.

It can be recalled that Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte recently signed into law the mandatory use of child seats, (Republic Act 11229, also known as Child Safety in Motor Vehicles Act), which the FIA’s local arm--the Automobile Association Philippines--supports.

The interactive stand gave visitors and supporters the opportunity to take pictures, print their own #3500lives photos, and post it on a dedicated wall at the booth.

To further raise awareness on the necessity to protect children travelling in cars, the FIA stand also featured a section on the FIA Global Program for Child Safety activated in Hong Kong by the Hong Kong Automobile Association, which properly informed visitors how to choose the right child safety seat.
