IPC partners with ROX PH to boost overlanding

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) recently forged a partnership with R.O.X. Philippines for an outdoor guide event.

Themed "Car Camping 101", the event’s latest edition (held last May 4) featured speakers who shared their knowledge on overlanding.

Per IPC, the recreational sports store in the country, regularly holds its Outdoor Guide series in its bid to educate customers on a variety of outdoor activities, including survival techniques and mountain climbing.

The recently-concluded edition was made specifically on car camping to meet the growing interest in self-reliant outdoor travel and accommodation.

Among those who spoke at the program were Lawrence Dy from Car Camping PH, Peter Gaw, Coach Manny of UP Mountaineers, Winston Chua, and Jay Lim of Overland Kings.

Dy tackled camping etiquette, Gaw shared his know-how on campsite cooking, Coach Manny on first aid tips, Chua on the importance of lighting and aesthetic arrangement in enhancing the campsite atmosphere, and Lim on the nuances of equipping a vehicle for overlanding.

For his part, IPC Assistant Division Head for Sales Robert Carlos shared the brand’s commitment to providing durable and reliable vehicles for outdoor adventures.

Displayed at the event were the Isuzu D-Max and mu-X models.

The presentation also included inputs from their recent Camp Out event in Tanay, Rizal that gave participants practical vehicle setups and what to expect in different camping environments.

“Nowadays, any vehicle can be driven to camp depending on the road and camp terrain. But if you have the choice, you have to choose well – trust only durable and reliable vehicles to get you the best camping destinations in the country, this way you can have more confidence, driving your vehicle with no limits in far flung areas and enjoy it for a longer period of time,” Carlos said.
