Kia PH widens BEV stable with all-new EV3

MANILA: Kia Philippines expanded its full-electric roster with the introduction of the all-new EV3.

Recognized as the World Car of the Year in 2025, the latest offering joined the EV5 and EV9 in the brand’s local stable, making it the most accessible battery electric vehicle (BEV) in the Korean automaker’s lineup. 

“Our goal is to make electric driving a natural upgrade to daily life,” Kia Philippines Managing Director Jose Marie Lopez said.

 “The Kia EV3 pairs world-class technology with daily utility, giving drivers a quieter, smarter, and more comfortable way to experience the future of mobility,” he added.

Here are some details about the newly-revealed model from the ACMobility-led automotive distributor.

Vehicle specifications

Outside, the all-new Kia EV3 features an updated Digital Tiger Face flanked by signature LED headlights. Similar to its stablemates, the crossover has hidden door handles, a rear spoiler, and standard roof rails.

Further, it rides on 17-inch alloy wheels.

The overall design earned Kia the prestigious World Car of the Year title as well as Red Dot “Best of the Best” and iF Design recognitions. 

Inside, the all-new Kia EV3 sports a 30-inch Triple Panoramic display (which combines the gauge cluster, infotainment display, and a 5.3-inch Climate Control Display) mated to a six-speaker configuration with  wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, dual wireless charging pads, five USB-C charging ports, and a six-speaker audio system.

Additionally, the vehicle has leather upholstery, an eight-way power driver’s seat with power lumbar support, and dual-zone automatic climate control.

Other amenities include the sliding console tray and the 60:40 split-folding rear seats. 

Powering the Kia EV3 is an electric motor mounted on the front axle that can deliver up to:

The mill gets its juice from the 58.3 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack, which allows the vehicle to cover up to 511 kilometers when fully charged. The energy bank’s power can be replenished from 10-80 percent in less than 30 minutes using a 350-kilowatt (kW) direct current charger or in five hours and 20 minutes with an 11-kW alternate current type. 

The Kia DriveWise suite of driver assistive technologies can also be found in the EV3. They are:

• Advanced Smart Cruise Control
• Forward Collision Avoidance with Autonomous Emergency Braking
• Lane Keeping and Following Assist
• Blindspot Safety Warning
• Rear Cross Traffic Safety

Its passive safety features include seven airbags (front, side, and curtain), electronic stability control, hill-start assist, front and rear parking sensors, and a rear-view camera.

Available in Aventurine Green, Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black, Terra Cotta, Frost Blue, Shale Grey, and Ivory Silver, the Kia EV3 carries a P1.898 million price tag. The retail price is packaged with a wall charger and the following warranties:

Bumper-to-bumper warranty	five-year or 160,000 km
High-voltage battery warranty	eight-year/160,000 km

To make it accessible to more customers, Kia Philippines slashed P30,000 off the Kia EV3’s normal purchase price, bringing it down to a special introductory price of 1.868 million—as well as a model-exclusive five-years free preventive maintenance service until October 31.

The reservation period started today and the delivery of the unit will begin October 1.

“The Kia EV3 marks an essential step as we expand our EV lineup in the Philippines,” Lopez noted. “By bringing award-winning global design, proven electric technology, and long-range efficiency to an accessible price point, the EV3 serves as our primary vehicle to lead the market's shift toward electric mobility.”
