Isuzu PH grows D-Max lineup with LS 4x2 AT introduction

MANILA: Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has expanded the D-Max LS lineup with the launch of the LS 4x2 AT.

Positioned as the entry-level variant in the D-Max lifestyle lineup, the new model marks the return of the RZ4E Blue Power to the series after it was previously phased out from the range several years ago.

Prior its reintroduction to the LS lineup, the RZ4E engine was reserved for the D-Max’s utilitarian configurations namely the cab-and-chassis and LT MT variants.

According to IPC, the new D-Max LS 4x2 AT is intended to accommodate a wide range of customer needs, from daily driving and business operations to family outings and recreational activities.

“We understand that our customers today are taking on many roles, from building their careers and businesses to providing for their families and pursuing the things that allow them to live a fuller life. The new Isuzu D-MAX LS 4x2 AT is designed to support them through these different aspects of life, giving them the versatility they need while delivering the toughness, reliability, and ownership confidence they expect from Isuzu,” IPC President Mikio Tsukui said.

Vehicle specifications

Served as an alternative to the larger-displacement engine options available in the upper variations, the newly-released variant offers a smaller mill with the convenience of an automatic gearbox.

Powering the vehicle is the brand’s RZ4E Blue Power 1.9-liter turbodiesel engine mated to =six-speed automatic transmission. This combination can release as much as:

Additionally, the new variant comes with a range of comfort and convenience features.

Cabin equipment includes a 4.2-inch multi-information display, rear air-conditioning vents, and a 10.1-inch infotainment system. The pickup also rides on 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with high-profile tires.

For added driving confidence, IPC said the D-Max LS 4x2 AT comes with several electronic safety and braking systems, including:

• Electronic Stability Control, which helps maintain vehicle stability by adjusting engine output and applying braking when necessary, particularly on slippery surfaces.
• Hill Start Assist helps prevent the vehicle from rolling backward when moving off on an incline, while Hill Descent Control assists in maintaining a controlled speed when driving downhill.
• Anti-lock braking system with Electronic Brake Distribution, and Brake Assist that help maintain steering control during hard braking, distribute braking force appropriately, and provide additional stopping assistance when required.

Color options, introductory price

The new Isuzu D-Max LS 4x2 AT is available in four exterior colors: Kinabalu Gray, Onyx Black, Red Spinel, and Splash White.

IPC is offering the variant at a special introductory price of P1.549 million until December 31, 2026.
