MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has started selling the all-new Hilux to the local market.
Now in its ninth generation, the aforementioned pickup truck’s lineup consists of diesel-fed and full-electric drivetrain options.
This development came after the model was first seen at the Philippine International Motor Show—and its electric version being recognized by the Department of Energy.
Built around Toyota's new "Cyber Sumo" design language, the all-new Hilux adopts a bolder, more modern appearance while retaining the rugged character expected from the pickup.

Styling varies depending on the grade. Conquest models receive a more aggressive front bumper design, while the Hilux BEV distinguishes itself with a closed-off grille.
All variants ride on a 3,085-millimeter (mm) wheelbase, although body dimensions differ slightly across the lineup.

It also gets an Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold, seven airbags, and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, the automaker's latest suite of advanced driver-assistance systems.
Toyota said the Hilux BEV rides on a dedicated ladder-frame chassis developed specifically for electric propulsion. The platform incorporates reinforced protection for the high-voltage battery and electric axle, helping preserve the pickup's durability, off-road capability, and generous ground clearance.
