MANILA: Nissan Philippines has officially launched the new Kicks e-POWER.
This is a heavily revamped version of the current generation that was introduced in Thailand earlier this year. It also follows its initial local debut at the 2026 Philippine International Motor Show.
So, what's new on this iteration of the Nissan-made crossover, and what is it offering to prospective buyers? Let's check it out in detail to find out.
Propelling the 2026 model-year Nissan Kicks is a 1.2-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine paired with a 2.06-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery and an electric motor.

For those not privy to the e-POWER system, its electric motor does all the work, delivering power and torque to the model's front wheels. The crossover's engine, meanwhile, functions as a dedicated generator for its lithium-ion battery. The said battery, on the other hand, supplies power to the aforementioned electric motor.
At maximum, the e-POWER system on the updated Nissan Kicks can produce up to 134 horsepower and 280 Newton-meters of torque.
With the electric motor as its primary drive unit, Nissan promises that the Kicks e-POWER can provide a similar driving feel and experience with full-on EV models. To be specific, this means the ability to dish out instant torque, as well as a quieter, smoother drive.
Ensuring ride quality and handling for the model are a front MacPherson strut and a rear torsion beam suspension. It likewise uses front and rear disc brakes.

The e-Pedal Step system allows for true one-pedal driving. In other words, the vehicle can slow down and accelerate using only the accelerator pedal. Simply lift a foot off the pedal and the car will come to a stop on its own.
