BMW X3

The X3 takes inspiration from BMW’s 3 series platform for its design element and it is pretty clear with the way the car is styled. The car looks sporty and its stance enhances its presence on road with a broad front fascia design and a large characteristic kidney grille complemented by the classic BMW LED headlights. The air vent control system on the active air stream kidney grille allows faster air movement for enhanced performance.

The X3 is athletic yet elegant and has very prominent character lines that have been very well blended with smooth curves by BMW. The bumper's broad shoulders along with a flat roofline are noticeable. The large tailpipes add to the charm of the robust-looking crossover. The design was built for functionality along with lightweight construction for optimal aerodynamics. 

While both the variants look almost the same, the xLine variant comes with 18-inch alloy wheels and the M variant features 19-inch alloys.  

The X3 is known for its smooth ride and handling experience and high comfort factor. The acceleration faces a slight delay in the lower ranges but overall the response is decent. Responsive steering and Independent MacPherson strut suspension in the front and independent multi-link suspension at the rear offers stable driving with the easy maneuver. You also get the Adaptive suspension option on the M Sport variant.

The Driving Experience Control on the X3 has three driving modes: Comfort, Eco Pro, and Sport. The new interactive Adaptive Mode makes adjustments on the adaptive suspension based on road conditions and also optimizes the steering and the transmission. 

The BMW X3 delivers an impressive driving experience on both the xDrive20d M Sport and the xDrive20d variant. The car packs a 2.0-litre inline-4 TwinPower Turbo engine that makes 188 hp of power and 400 Nm of peak torque. 

The M Competition variant is powered by a high-performance 3.0-litre M TwinPower Turbo inline-6 engine which produces a whopping 503 hp and 600 Nm of torque. The powertrain in all variants is paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission with manual shifting mode and BMW’s specially engineered all-wheel-drive system also comes standard on all variants.

With effective disc brakes on all four wheels and an efficient ABS system, the car has great braking capabilities and does not miss out on standard safety features like Cornering Brake Control and Brake Assist, Electronic Brake Distribution, Stability Control, and Hill Descent Control. 

Even though the X3 has not got many notable exterior upgrades in its course of evolution, the premium crossover or “SAV” strikes the perfect balance between form and function. Car enthusiasts in the Philippines have appreciated the engineering brilliance of BMW with the X3. At its price, the X3 is a really compact, practical, and value for money package offered by German carmakers and is a great buy for a family car or even a daily commute BMW.
