MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has officially started the retail sales of the all-new Land Cruiser FJ.
Per the local wing of the Japanese carmaker, the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ effectively expands the brand’s portfolio with one of its most iconic nameplates, in a compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) form designed for today’s drivers.
“For generations, the Land Cruiser has been recognized in the Philippines for its exceptional durability, reliability, and ability to tackle challenging terrain, making it a trusted companion for both everyday journeys and demanding expeditions,” TMP wrote in a press release.
“The all-new Land Cruiser FJ brings that same Land Cruiser DNA into a more accessible, maneuverable package that balances legendary capability with the practicality needed for daily driving,” it added.

The Toyota Land Cruiser FJ draws inspiration from classic Land Cruiser models.
As such, it adopts a bold, upright silhouette with short overhangs, a wide stance, and generous ground clearance to support its off-road capability. At the same time, its compact proportions make it practical for city driving, offering a balance between rugged functionality and daily usability.

Both variants measure 4,610 millimeters (mm) long and 1,855 mm wide, ride on a 2,580 mm wheelbase, and provide 245 mm of ground clearance. The Toyota Land Cruiser FJ TX grade stands 1,890 mm tall while the VX trim measures 1,950 mm in height.

Under the hood of the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ is a 2.7-liter 2TR-FE naturally aspirated gasoline engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The setup produces 166 horsepower and 245 Newton-meters of torque.
It also has a part-time four-wheel-drive system, operating in rear-wheel drive during normal road use and allowing drivers to engage four-wheel drive when additional traction is needed.

Standard across all variants is the Active Traction Control System (A-TRC), which supports vehicle stability in varying terrain conditions.
The Toyota Land Cruiser FJ has more to offer than just a storied lineage. It also comes with a variety of modern, functional features, depending on the variant.
For example, the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ TX — which is intended for customers seeking a straightforward and capable 4x4 that can readily be adapted to their needs — comes with 17-inch steel wheels, LED lighting, a nine-inch infotainment display, a seven-inch thin-film transistor (TFT) instrument cluster, synthetic leather seats with manual adjustments, and physical controls for key vehicle functions, including a leverparking brake and rotary selector for four-wheel-drive modes, reinforcing its functional, driver-focused character.
Meanwhile, the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ VX — built for those who have a penchant for additional comfort, technology, and safety — is fitted with 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, side steps, a larger 12.3-inch infotainment display, an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat, a leather shift knob, and a Panoramic View Monitor.
In addition, it also comes equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, which includes a Pre-Collision System, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert, and Automatic High Beam, providing additional driver support for both everyday driving and off-road journeys.

The Toyota Land Cruiser FJ is available in Smoky Blue, Oxide Bronze Mica, Ash, Attitude Black Mica, and Platinum White Pearl Mica PC. Opting for the final paintwork will add some P15,000 to the model’s overall price.
