About Toyota Philippines

Following the commencement of services on August 3, 1988, Toyota Motor Philippines has become one of the top-selling automobile brands in the country. Operating as a joint venture, the company has its shares distributed among GT Capital Holdings, Inc. (51%), Toyota Motor Corporation (34%), and Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (15%).

In the Philippines, the TMP consists of ten (10) organizational units including Marketing, Manufacturing, Production Control & Logistics, General Administration, Comptrollership, Treasury, Purchasing, Corporate Affairs, Vehicle Logistics, and Affiliate Operations Support & Audit.

With a total of 21 vehicles in the lineup, the Toyota Motor Philippines sports one of the most extensive portfolio by an automotive brand in the country. Moreover, both the Vios sedan and the Innova MPV, which are two of the top-selling models for the company, are manufactured in the Philippines at its Santa Rosa plant.

The lineup comprises of the following vehicles: hatchbacks in the form of Wigo, Yaris, and Prius C, sedans such as Vios, Corolla Altis, Camry, 86, Prius, and Supra, SUVs and MPVs like Rush, FJ Cruiser, Avanza, Innova, Fortuner, RAV4, Land Cruiser Prado, Land Cruiser 200, vans including Hiace, Alphard, and Hiace LXV, and the ever so popular pickup truck Hilux. We should also see the Toyota C-HR launching in the Philippines soon enough.

While TMP's head office and manufacturing plant are present at an 82-hectare Toyota Special Economic Zone (TSEZ) in Santa Rosa City, Laguna, its marketing office, on the other hand, operates on the 28th and 31st floors, GT Tower International, Makati City. For a smooth and hassle-free sales and service experience, Toyota Motor Philippines runs 63 dealerships around the country.

Soon after its inception in the year 1988, Toyota Motor Philippines grabbed the first spot in Total Sales, Passenger Car Sales, and Commercial Vehicle Sales in 1994 itself. Since then, there has been no looking back for the company as it sees its wings spreading farther and farther across the Pearl of the Orient Sea.
