MANILA: A total of 17 Toyota Urban Cruiser units are the subject of a recall in the Philippines after a software issue affecting the integrated display system (IDS) was identified.
Under its latest service campaign, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) said the display shows inaccurate energy-efficiency readings due to an error in the software's calculation logic for average energy efficiency.

According to TMP, the campaign covers Toyota Urban Cruiser units sold in the country that were manufactured between Nov. 27, 2025, and April 11, 2026.
To address the issue, the company will reprogram the affected vehicles' IDS software free of charge.
TMP also urged affected customers to schedule a service appointment at any authorized Toyota dealership in the country as soon as possible. Alternatively, customers whose vehicles are already due for servicing or nearing their scheduled maintenance dates may have the repair performed during their next periodic maintenance visit.
The model's digital instrument cluster is connected to a 10.1-inch infotainment display that offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
The Toyota Urban Cruiser was launched in the Philippine market in the first quarter of 2026. The model has also been showcased at various TMP events.
Here are some of the model's other notable features.
