MANILA: Ford Philippines has updated the Everest and Ranger lineup in the country.
Considered as two of the Blue Oval marque’s highly-popular models locally, the mid-size sport utility vehicle (SUV) and pickup truck updated powertrain options, adjusted the lineup, updated the exterior and cabin design.
Here’s what to find in the revamped Ford Ranger and Everest roster in the Philippines.
Spearheading the new Ford Ranger lineup is the Wildtrak X.

Photo by Cesar Guiderone MiguelThe Ford Ranger Raptor carried over most of the previous versions’ mechanical bits, but the new Ranger Wildtrak X now wears Bilstein shock absorbers for its double wishbone front and leaf spring rear suspension systems.
All of them are fitted with front and rear disc brakes.
The Wildtrak X and Wildtrak come with rear-locking differentials unlike the the Ford Ranger Raptor that has front- and rear-locking differentials, alongside live-valve internal-bypass shock absorbers, and selectable exhaust modes.

Outside, the new Ford Ranger gets LED lighting fixtures, adaptive front lighting, zone lighting, power-folding/adjustable side mirrors, a bedliner, the Wildtrak Sport Hoop, roof rails, an easy-lift tailgate, and metal underbody protection.
A “Ranger” hood typography and black composite off-road-rated side steps were seen placed exclusively to the Wildtrak X option.
Both the Ford Ranger Wildtrak X and Ranger Raptor rides on 17-inch alloy wheels while the Wildtrak gets 18-inch wheels.

Further, the new Ford Ranger and Ranger Raptor sport a family cabin layout. Among those that are present in the two variations are the 12-inch portrait Sync4A touchscreen central display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Wildtrak X and Ranger Raptor is a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen setup.
